new Here?

If you’re new to Living Hope or to our web-site, welcome! New people visit Living Hope all the time. Some stay for a while and then move on but many make Living Hope their family!

Who we are

Those who call Living Hope home come from a variety of backgrounds. Some grew up in a church; some are entirely new to church. Many were born in Canada; a number were born in other countries around the globe. Some are seniors; many are young. A number are married and raising families; several are serving God as singles.

In the midst of our diversity, though, we also have many things in common. The greatest of those is that we all share a desire to know Jesus more fully and to learn what it means to live with Him at the centre of our daily lives! We welcome you to join us on the journey!

ministries

Living Hope church has a variety of ministries: such as worship services, support programs, Bible studies and outreach opportunities for all ages. In addition, we offer a broad network of small groups that allow people to go deeper and connect relationally with others. Our purpose is to lead people to Jesus, to membership in his family and to develop Christ-like maturity so they are equipped for ministry in the community and the world.

They enjoy playing in the cold, but the idea of standing still in the cold in line waiting for food, or even sleeping in the cold, is not appealing. Some great questions were raised by the children too, like when Bob said the GNCC has been in Peterborough for 30 years, a hand was raised with the question, "if it's been here for 30 years, then why are there still poor people?" The children also shared thoughtful insights about the various reason people are poor, beyond their own control. We have some wonderfully thoughtful and generous children amongst us. ...
